About Hospice Buddy

Why I created Hospice Buddy

As a seasoned hospice nurse with 16 years of experience, I founded Hospice Buddy with one goal in mind: to provide caregivers like you with the personalized support and resources you need to navigate this challenging time with confidence and peace of mind.

What is Hospice Buddy?

Are you feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and unprepared while caring for a terminally ill loved one? Traditional hospice services are invaluable, but they often leave caregivers with unaddressed needs and questions, especially during the gaps between scheduled visits. As a seasoned hospice nurse with 16 years of experience, I specialize in providing education, resources, and daily compassionate support to caregivers facing the challenges of end-of-life care.

Despite having access to hospice services, my clients often find themselves lacking support in critical moments. They reach out to me seeking someone who understands the end-of-life process intimately and can provide guidance and emotional support beyond what traditional hospice care offers.

Who is it for?

My ideal clients are often adult children caring for their elderly parents diagnosed with life-limiting illnesses like cancer, COPD, CHF, or Alzheimer’s dementia. They feel isolated, confused, and financially strained, juggling caregiving responsibilities with their own lives.

Hospice Buddy is a Christian based service supporting clients who value a compassionate and faith-based approach to end-of-life care. My goal is to empower caregivers with knowledge and confidence so they can navigate the journey with understanding and peace, free from regrets or self-blame. If you are not a Christian, I would still love to work with you!

What can you expect when you hire Hospice Buddy?

Common concerns among my clients include changes in their loved one’s condition, feelings of inadequacy, and the need for someone to confide in who truly understands their struggles. Together, we address these challenges, allowing caregivers to find solace and strength as they walk this difficult path.

Clients will receive personalized, routine, and consistent support, as well as on-call availability, to promote quality of life and comfort at end-of-life.

Difference between Hospice Buddy and hospice care

Hospice Care is provided wherever you call Home. An interdisciplinary team consisting of a nurse, chaplain, social worker, aide, and medical provider work together to support your end of life journey. Some people need even more support than hospice can provide. They need someone knowledgeable and supportive to talk to daily so they are not feeling alone and isolated on their journey.

This service is not a replacement for your health care provider. No medications or medical treatments are prescribed. Hospice Buddy is a virtual, supportive service, aimed to compliment the care provided by your healthcare provider, to promote a peaceful end-of-life experience for everyone involved.

Hospice Buddy

Hospice Buddy can not prescribe medications and does not make physical, in person visits. In the event of an emergency, a change in status, a needed medication change, or a physical visit need, you should call your hospice provider.

Why I created Hospice Buddy

After 16 years as a hospice nurse, I saw a need for additional support for people going through end-of-life challenges. I knew patients and their families needed an additional level of support.
